This was my first time to be in some fair in USA. I had lot of fair experience in my hometown Kolkata but this was totally new for me. I never came up the name of it until our photography meet-up group setup something. Thanks to Ken Brakebill for organizing such meet-up.
Nothing is easy and come without paying off. The pain and agony for this short trip will be in memory for long time. I supposed to meet fellow photographers @7 PM in front of fair gate. I started driving from Dunwoody around 5:30PM. After managing little bit hiccups across highway the drama started. The road across this fair round was full of traffic and all cars were moving very slowly. My last 5 miles took ~3 hrs and finally when I reached to destination Cops says all parking full … Hell !! and Alas! This is really bad and disgusting …but I am not gonna loose hope and I took different route to see if I can get parking to other parking spot. Nope, no chance. It was really overcrowded and finally I parked my car in nearby lane in front of someone’s house! Yeh, I saw lot of people did it and I am sure nobody will care to Tow the car at that time. I can’t take agony to return back home after driving 40 miles and paid 4 hrs 30 mins. Now I am happy, took my camera bag and tripod and heading towards fair gate. Can’t see our fellow photographers in such huge crowd so starts shooting alone whatever I like. This ferris wheel was near to ticket gate and the largest one. I gave enough exposure to make sure I capture all the colors. That’s the true story … and yes time and money paid me what I like …
