Sunrise and Sunset is always being special. Now it’s more special if taken in more important places. This is planned trip to see sunrise over canyon. During our visit with full battalion, we drove 2 hrs from our Motel @ Page, Arizona starting at morning 4 O’clock and finally reached before time. There was a schedule bus ran from Grand Canyon South Rim which halts in specific stops and we get down to our destination. We don’t see big crowd at that morning and locate few professional photographer’s occupied vantage points to capture stunning images! Morning is always preferable for photographers so do I. I locate my own vantage point, mounted the tripod and tried several different shots while changing lense from wide angle to 10.5 mm fisheye and then 70-300 mm to take close up sunrise shot. I like the way the clouds breaks up with sunrise. I gave very small exposure so that some part will not be over/under exposed even with different filters. Top part of the sky has some motion effect due to this long exposure and I personally don’t want to lose the details of the separated clouds. At at bottom right the trees create nice silhouette effect. After this shot I tried several others and lot of them you can see in Landscape galleries which had been taken in same place, same spot.
