This was a planned visit to Centennial Olympic park very close to my office in Downtown, Atlanta, Georgia-USA. It was nice summer evening. The Ferris wheel was not there in 2012 but it’s planted during summer of 2013. It has been heard that this Ferris was in Pensacola but people don’t like to ride on it that much in beach area and hence this has been moved to Atlanta. If this is the case, I have same picture in another gallery where same Ferris wheel taken during daytime and night at Pensacola during my visit to Florida.
Anyway I went there to take same picture in sunset background but it was late and thought to take some interesting shot with this chain of lights. Initially tried few shots with 10-24mm but as it is DX camera so never get that full angle of view with these crop factor glitches. So thought to change lense to 10.5 mm fish eye. Though seems distorted look but I like how all the light beams fitted from edge to edge with perfect symmetry. Usually Nikon 10.5 mm fisheye is very sharp lense with number of diaphragm enough to capture sharp and clean light rays and this again provide in this photo. I wish to use Neutral Density filter but getting a filter is fish-eye is always difficult. In this picture the rightmost building is 36 floor Centennial Tower and leftmost building is luxury The Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.
